About Gretchen Coady

Dr. Coady is originally from York, SC. She completed college at Duke University and medical school at USC School of Medicine. She did her residency at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Massachusetts.


She is board certified in both Pediatrics and Internal Medicine,

meaning that she treats all ages from newborn to 100 years old (and up!).


She served as a doctor in the Navy and rose to the rank of LT Commander.  After leaving the Navy, she worked as a hospital doctor in Greenville for 6 years, and earned an additional board certification in Pediatric Hospital Medicine. She then returned to York to work in primary care and now is starting her own practice here in York.


Dr. Coady now has 20 years of experience in medicine, and she believes strongly that knowing you as an individual, not a number, is the best way to help you be as healthy as you can. 


She emphasizes listening to you and truly hearing what you have to say, so that she can help you achieve all of your health goals. She wants to help people not just live longer, but be HEALTHY longer.
